The Ad Game

They say that sex sells.  But when Max Cohen takes a job in a Pittsburgh ad agency he learns that sex kills
too.  Max is hired to work on the account for a multinational steel corporation, but when the client fires the
agency, he finds himself on the “Muffler King” account, promoting a local chain of muffler and auto service
centers. It isn’t long before Max learns that Big Jim King, founder and president of Muffler King,  is a sexual
voyeur who uses the agency to source young subjects for his sexual escapades. Max must carefully negotiate
big Jim’s Desires, the agency’s need to keep Muffler King as a client, and the advances of Kitty Wells, Muffler
King’s marketing manager and Big Jim’s duplicitous lover.
The Ad Game is a wry examination of the world
advertising and a cautionary tale of uncontrolled appetites.  Read the first chapter
here.
The Fashions of the Times

When Jacob Gold was ten years old, his grandfather gave him this advice – “never lift a man so high that he
can piss in your face.”  When Jacob accepts a position at a prominent Pittsburgh law firm, he is forced to
apply his grandfather’s wisdom as he negotiates the power plays and personal vendettas of the firm’s
attorneys. Theodore Rifkin, the firm’s gray-maned managing partner is willing to do anything to keep his
name on the firm’s door. Edward Blanton, the firm’s one-time golden boy, has fallen from grace having been
indicted for his involvement in a phony real estate deal. Hanging over the firm like a dark cloud is Blanton’s
failed attempt to stave off the hostile takeover of one of firm’s oldest clients.  When the British corporate raider
who masterminded the takeover suddenly dies, Jacob, Rifkin and Blanton are drawn in to the perfect storm
that will change all of their lives forever.
The Fashions of the Times is a chronicle of money and power and the
myth of the American dream.  Read the first chapter
here.
